SHARING THE LOVE OF CHRIST
In all our projects we have the hope that the Holy Spirit will lead us in conversation with those who do not know the love of Christ. We must be ready to provide in all circumstances the hope of our salvation and what Christ means to us. We always are asked the question, “Why are you doing this?” One of the best ways to respond is “We are demonstrating the love of God today” or “We are demonstrating the grace of Christ today.” You may find opportunities to share what Christ means to you and invite them to your church. Please be sensitive that you may be working with someone from another church. Allow them to offer an invitation to their church also if it is appropriate.
Serving the City projects are organized into eight general groupings
- In-House projects - such as packing , sewing, letter writing and other such projects
- Construction
- Block Parties
- Adoption of Schools - mostly painting, cleaning, and landscaping
- Ministries and Agencies - projects that support and help others who provide assistance to our community
- Service Projects - a great variety of projects that are out in the public and provide many different ways of serving our community and sharing the love of Christ
- Environmental Projects - green projects that clean, improve, and help our community
- Supporting Prayer and Prayer Walking - a wonderful way to join hearts with God in all the efforts of Serving the City and at various locations in our cities
